Hi,

Thanks, it is quite weird and wasn’t me on IRC. We actually had a similar incident about 8 months ago when a load of our Windows boxes lost all their history. We didn’t really care as they are only internal boxes so never bothered reporting it (and to be honest I had my suspicions about it being something related to a windows update / Microsoft SNMP quirk so dismissed it).

Well, let’s see how long they stay this way :)

Cheers for looking!

There probably was a change in the defaults for creation quite a while back (after yours were created), but this only affects new files.

Interestingly, someone on IRC had the same issue 2 weeks or so ago (unless this was also you?) but the cause is unknown - as Adam says, if the file exists, we only run "rrdtool update" on it.

Tom
