Well in this case it's a poller only box so it is Observium. Anyway we could get the check to run from that remote poller?

Observium isn't running on all of the monitored systems, a probe is something that's run in the Observium server directed *at* the end device.

They're just nagios plugins.

Subject: [Observium] Probes from remote collectors

Hi,

I have added probes under a hosts that is a remote collector (ICMP for
now) but I don't see that hosts actually sending the data. The master observium is doing the checks not the hosts the probe is tied to.

When I go add probe I am choosing the other remote collector hosts and it shows up under that hosts when I go look at the hosts but those checks are still originating from the wrong place.

I guess the "hosts" refers to which hosts would be used as the default %HOSTNAME% variable?

If so, is there any way we can get these checks to launch from the collector and send data back?

Thanks
