Generally if a new device type appears we'll add basic detection for it when we find out about it, but greater supper requires wither the device to be popular enough amongst the user base to justify the time required, or for someone to pay for us to add support for it (or for someone to do it themselves).
There are virtually endless numbers of devices in the world, we only have limited resources to add support for them. :D

I’m seeing some activity on the mailing-list so I thought I’d give a try again.
Anyone would care to comment on this ? Is there a formal way to request support for this devices ?
Thank you for your feedback.
Best regards.

Subject: Integration with IBM blade chassis
Dear Observium Community,
Can someone confirm the state of observium’s integration with IBM blade chassis please ?
I tried adding a few units for testing purposes, but only got basic SNMP results back from them (i.e. Hostname, S/N, location, etc.).
Compared to a DELL M1000e blade chassis with complete integration (i.e. Chassis components state, FANs, PSUs, etc.), results are very poor.
Thank you for your feedback.
Best regards.
