We use SNMPTRAPD to log traps to the local syslog on the Observium server then use a syslog alert rule.
Works well for us.

Hello.
We would like to collect snmp traps from our routers and use them for alerting. However i cant find a way to do it? Has someone managed to get this to work? We are trying to get alerting to work with IS-IS neighbor up and down and so on.
Best regards. //Gustav
