I have just updated to version 0.16.10.8150, but I still don’t get the ifAlias.
This is how my telegram alerts look like:
ALERT : Port down
Device: osxxxx-xxx
Entity: Port 21
Device Uptime: 242 days, 9h 54m 10s
More information:
http://observium.xxxx.xx/device/device=8/tab=alert/alert_entry=13620/
It would be great if one of the developers could help me out.

Should be in there, I’m using Slack as well, and I do see the ifAlias in the alert. It’s using the same mechanism as far as I know. Maybe one of the developers can chime in here?

Sorry, I forgot to mention that I am using Telegram for notification transport.

It should be in the email that you get. You must be running a really old version then?

Subject: [Observium] Include interface description/alias in Alerts
Hello!
I have configured an alert checker for our Ports according to the documentation:
Port is enabled, but operationally down Port ifAdminStatus equals up ifOperStatus notequals up ALL * ifType equals
ethernetCsmacd
Everything works fine, except the alerts only include the port number (e.g. Entity: Port13). I would like to include the interface description/alias
too (e.g. Customer_xyz).
Is there a way I can achieve this?
Regards
Siegfried
