No, ‘alerts’ is not a front page module.  It’s part of the ‘status_summary’ module output.

status_summary, map, device_status_boxes, device_status, overall_traffic, custom_traffic, syslog, eventlog, minigraphs, micrographs

 

What you’re wanting is possible (yet).
