Ryan,
The 'license' itself is not something that is entered in Observium - it's a virtual thing :-)
What matters for that is your SVN username, to be able to get updates. That one can move around to another machine without any issues, you may need to enter it again once if you saved it on the old machine.
Also, don't forget the mysql db obviously ;-)

Tom, Thanks. I just wasn't sure weather I needed to use the license again. I am moving to a vm. It was my original observium, and I just turned it down, moved to a physical machine. Now that machine needs to go, and so I wanted to activate the original (pre-license).
So if copying my /opt/observium is all, that's great.
Thanks! Ryan

Hi Ryan,
You can simply copy /opt/observium to the new machine and set up the cron jobs again, it should just work.
Unless you're going to a different CPU architecture, in which case there is some rrd import/export to be done.

Hi, I am having to move my Observium installation to a new server. I have the paid version of Observium, and am basically taking an older version and want to use my existing license. What is the proper path to make this move?
Thanks, Ryan
