Hi,

This isn't possible.

If you can't move SNMP packets reliably, you probably have some serious network issues (or an over zealous firewall).

Dear Observium,

I am running the professional edition of Observium.  Due to snmp timeout, some devices are considered to be “down” intermittently.   I have tried to tweak the snmp timeout but it still happen.

My question is: can I use ping only, and ignore snmp timeout to detect device up/down ?

Thanks,

Ming
