No. Use a custom php script to pull the image from graph.php and give it to the user, rather than embedding graph.php URLs into pages.
Oddly enough, we don't keep gazillions of datapoints in MySQL, no!

Is the snmp data pulled in to the MySQL database too or dumped straight out to .rrd files? If it's in the MySQL database we could always graph it from there.

This is best done by proxying the graph via your own scripts.
The "simple api" is currently abandoned, we may implement something i future, we may not :)

We're currently looking at doing some development to pull the graphs for services from Observium and inject them in to our Client Portal so that clients get nice pretty graphs.
Has anyone done something similar? Some guidance or pointers would be great :)
