Tom,
Well this that is fascinating and uplifting... also encouraging... I will see if I can track down the MIBs for said printers... Also on the wishlist are Zebra Label printers for the plant... But one bridge at a time...
That said is there some generic way, e.g. adding vendor ID's somewhere so it will detect and as you say, know to poll with the JetDirect??
Excuse the noobiness... I am quite green at all this...
Cheers,
Matt.C.

Monitor ALL the things!
Getting it recognized as a printer is probably all that needs to happen. There isn't that much actual code for toner stuff, just about everyone uses the Jetdirect OIDs.

Tom has the printer fetish. It's probably not hard for him to add if
proper MIBs exist.
I think you're all weirdos for monitoring printers, though...

Good afternoon anyone...
Was just curious as to whether anyone has had any luck integrating MIBS
so
Canon iR series can be parsed as proper printers and have stats / toner polled correctly??
I was a little spoiled at my last position where all printers were HP / Konica and supported out of the box... Now not so much...
Thanks in advance...
