I assume you are interested in how for example interface traffic data is stored and if data aggregation is done?

Observium stores all data in RRD files https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RRDtool

Datapoints is polled every 5min and saved for 24h in 5min resolution, its then aggregated and stored up to 1 year.

If we collect performance data for almost 20k devices and we're interested in perform trend estimations with data for last 12months, does observium implement any aggregation method in order to avoid have an unmanageable amount of performance data stored?, if so, can you point me out to the proper place where i can find some information that can help me to understand the way this work is done?
