Sounds like this would maybe be solved by having per-poller directories for rancid. I'm not sure how easy this would be to implement, it might be super easy.
I think we may already allow definition of multiple directories to search for RANCID configs, if that's true you can just rsync each poller to a different directory and define them all as search dirs.
Merging RANCID instances is not really possible, though.

Hi,
I know this is slightly off topic but was wondering if anyone has ran into this.
We have rancid on our remote pollers working and grabbing configs. Now on a single Observium instance you just enable it in the config and the integration works spot on as the SVN/GIT is local.
Has anyone got this to work where they store the configs locally on the remote poller and then push a copy to the master observium box so they show up in the GUI? Or are you using a central GIT server on the master and just the proper settings in the rancid.conf file?
