Another day, another reason to consider the enterprise world functionally retarded.
We've considered this multiple times, and always decide it's not a good idea. It'd probably double the complexity of the poller code, and would certainly increase the cost of the product to /everyone/.
Typical of enterprise users to demand an order of magnitude increase in complexity for a fractional improvement. (HA support would, ironically, decrease reliability, as it always does).
