Finally problem solved! I tried adding a new workstation and Observium refused. I checked the snmp settings on the workstation and saw that my Observium server’s address was missing so I checked my domain policy. Sure enough, the setting for configuring snmp mysteriously lost my Observium server’s address. I added that back in and now my workstations are back up.

This is strange, since the query to select the device doesn’t seem to be returning anything :

SQL[_[0;33mSELECT `device_id` FROM `devices` WHERE `disabled` = 0 AND `hostname` LIKE '192.168.2.22' ORDER BY `device_id` ASC_[0m]_[0m

SQL RUNTIME[_[0;32m0.00019908s_[0m]_[0m

WARNING: 0 devices polled. Did you specify a device that does not exist?

Are you able to give me ssh access to the Observium server?

Thanks,

Adam.

I’ve never encountered this particular issue. What is the entire output from a debugged poller run for a device?

Adam.

Hey all, I did the revision update and I’m now currently at 18.5.9221. Since I did the update my workstations are all showing as down. I can ping them from my Observium server and I can run an snmpwalk on them from the Observium server. I tried running both ./discovery.php -d -h <some_host> and ./poller.php -d -h <some_host> and both of them have this warning:

WARNING: 0 devices polled/discovered. Did you specify a device that does not exist?

I tried to re-add a device but Observium says it has already been added. Am I missing something simple here?

Thanks,
