I think that's what the "Billing Day" option is for. It's in the "Add bill" / "Edit bill" forms below the type/quota field.
Most of Observium's feature planning happens because of our own needs, or demand from users (and depending on the feature, sponsoring from users), so by all means, send in any reasonable feature request through the mailing list - it works better than asking about future plans, we don't have a set roadmap at the moment.
This was certainly not an unreasonable request, and luckily, we already have it, so that's a zero effort fix especially for you! ;-)

We don't do our billing monthly, it renews on whatever day the customer signed up on. This would make billing a little more simple.
Or is this already a feature and I am insane?
