Rob,

It should work, but the documentation on the site for the apache vhost is not correct for apache 2.4 that is included in ubuntu 13.10/14.04. Other than that it is fine afaik.

Loving observium, but noticed some issues with it detecting well over 448 ports on a switch that nothing was plugged into except two patch cables but then i just happened to notice php version on Ubuntu 12.04.

The Ubuntu installation directions had some conflicting information:

Requires php5.4 but Ubuntu 12.04 does not includes php5.3 only.

Recommend LTS, but recommend 13.04 which is not LTS.

Does not mention 14.04 LTS.

The existing community download is from April which provides another reason that Ubuntu 14.04 LTS will not work well since there has not been another release since then.

So i am trying to decide to add a PPA for php5.4 or do i upgrade the entire OS to 14.04?  Will the April 2014 (SVN# 5229 ) Observium release work just fine on 14.04.
