Thanks! I just want to be up to date with the svn trunk without losing my config.
Best!

It's not clear what you want to do.
If you want to re-install, you have to save the rrd directory, config.inc.php and your database.
Periodically backing up the rrd directory and config.inc.php will usually suffice. If you want to keep logging data in the database, you can back up the database too.
If you restore these things at the end of the installation process, it'll all just 'work'.

I am fairly new with Observium, which is cool and was very simple to

up. can you please take the time and paste me the commands that I have to
issue
to make it in a way that I do not ruin the setup? I would not have too much time to make it work again.
save configuration files x,y,z svc co .... discover them with "-m os"
Thank you a lot!

It seems they've changed "Force10 Operating System" to "Force10 OS Operating System"
Idiots.
This is fixed in the latest SVN. You'll need to delete and readd the hosts, or discover them with "-m os"

Thank you for replying so fast, the Observium instance says that: *Dell Force10 OS Operating System Version: 1.0 Application Software Version: 8.3.12.1 Series: S4810 Copyright (c) 1999-2012 by Dell Inc. All Rights Reserved. Build Time: Sun Nov 18 11:05:15 2012* Operating System Generic Device Uptime 75 days, 22h 55m 13s"
And yes it is one of the first Dell "touched" systems. I would provide you with more info if needed.
Also mib file from M1000e I have.
Please advice. Thanks again.

Force 10 kit should be detected properly
It is and works great, we have lots.
unless specifically dell branded kit is returning different sysObjectIds
and sysDescrs. It isn't, we have lots.
