Hi all – I have a number of EdgeOS devices in the field that I would like to add in to Observium but I am having an issue with the port descriptors as follows:

I have set the interface description as follows – “description CUST:JOHNSONS(AAPT_NWBL2)[50M]{1736079}” using the CUST: and various brackets as outlined in the documentation. The OS does not like spaces in the description field so I was forced to remove them to get the config to stick.

Problem is that when the interface is parsed the description comes up as just description CUSTJOHNSONSAAPT_NWBL250M1736079 which clearly is not going to be parsed correctly by Observium.

Wondering if anyone has come across this previously and can pint me in the direction of a solution/workaround.
