I have a number of SF300-24P (802.3af), SF300-24PP (802.3at), SF300-48P, and SG200-26P Cisco switches, all at firmware revision 1.4.8.6
(There is a newer firmware 1.4.10.06 published 4 days ago: I will install this only if required).
The voltage/current sensors are constantly complaining that they are either under/over threshold. For example, below are the logs on a port drawing 3500 mW for a Ubiquiti Unifi access point model UAP-AC-M: voltage range from 0V (!) to 92V for a device that should draw 37 to 57 V PoE levels. I have 29 of these devices scattered over the network and I can rule out simple malfunction of any/all devices.
More intriguing is the 0.0975A current "threshold" used to issue these warnings: it does not make sense if Watts are still the product of Volts by Ampps ;-).
Is it possible that the MiB for these devices is out of whack? I recently updated my Observium CE to 18.9.9420 (5th September 2018) but this issue has been annoying me for quite some time.
Please note that I have similar results for all kinds of IP cameras : however, I do not have issues for ports that are connected to Cisco SG200-08 PoE switches and for which the only warnings I get is when the output voltage suddenly drops to zero. Unfortunately, these devices do not support SNMP.
