Alternatively, we’re happy to use an SNMP trap with a Syslog Rule (this is for some Cisco IOS and NXOS switches). Does anyone know if that would work?
And would it require a transient ‘errdisable’ state? Ie; errdisable detect cause link-flap errdisable recovery cause link-flap errdisable recovery interval 30 snmp-server enable traps errdisable
Their doesn’t seem to be an equivalent “snmp-server enable traps link-flap” sadly, so at the moment I cannot think of any other way of doing this without having to invoke an “errdisable” state for 30 seconds to get the syslog alert..
Thanks for your time and thoughts 😊 Andy

Hi,
We are trying to create an Alert Checker to detect for flapping network interfaces.
How can we do this with Observium? Is this possible?
Thanks, Andy.
