Ah yes. We utilize another product that allows you to create a list of tags, and then assign multiple tags to a device. You can then group/search/etc by tag. It works like a peach.

Can a device be a part of more that one "Location"? I have a device "Device A" and I want it to show up in both "Location A" and "Location B". Is that possible? Maybe by putting a comma seperated value in the syslocation field?
Also, it would be very handy to have a "Note" field on a device to put in some free-form text.
