Thank you very much for the prompt response.
In fact, we had the same concern before writing this, as a device
might have multiple IP addresses obviously
that is why it was specifically mentioned that to show only the
DNS
resolved IP address for the device name, which is always
going to be a single IP address unless there is a DNS load
balancing situation.
Why we insist this feature is, we just use /etc/hosts file to
provide DNS entries for the observium server
and hence it is resolved only within the observium server not from
outside. So if somebody wants to figure out
the relevant IP address of the device to connect/trouble shoot
etc. he/she has to do extra steps to figure out the IP address
which is a waste of time and a productivity loss.
