$config['enable_ports_etherlike'] = 0; // Enable Polling EtherLike-MIB (doubles interface processing time)
Try adding that to config.php and set to = 1

Thanks Adam,
While I am technical and know networking Im not really good at linux. Any guide on how to do the dot2stats?

Interface drops are graphed as "discards" on the errors graph. In general on ethernet you should never see any discards or errors. If you do, they can be further investigated by enabling the dot3stats/etherlike stuff in the config. It does make polling much more intensive, though.
There isn't any documention on this stuff, Observium is aimed at a technical audience, so assumes you already understand what all of the metrics are and know what you're looking for.

Anyone know where I could get an understanding of how to interpret the graphs for network devices? Is there any documentation to help explain what to look for in devices for packet loss or problems with service? I don't see a way to tell packet drops like you would see on a device normally. _______________________________________________ observium mailing list observium@observium.orgmailto:observium@observium.org http://postman.memetic.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/observium _______________________________________________ observium mailing list observium@observium.orgmailto:observium@observium.org http://postman.memetic.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/observium
