I think it would be nice to have something similar for the eventlog. For example to filter interfaces going up/down and interface-throughput:
$config['frontpage']['eventlog']['filter'] = array('ifSpeed','ifOperStatus');

Maybe this feature is already implemented and i am not able to find it?!
