Ahh I see. I found another device with same model/version.

It seems Cisco are returning lots of dots for the model name :

entPhysicalDescr.1 = 2651XM chassis

entPhysicalVendorType.1 = cevChassis2651XM

entPhysicalContainedIn.1 = 0

entPhysicalClass.1 = chassis

entPhysicalParentRelPos.1 = -1

entPhysicalName.1 = 2651XM chassis

entPhysicalHardwareRev.1 = ....

entPhysicalFirmwareRev.1 = System Bootstrap, Version 12.2(8r) [cmong 8r], RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc1)

entPhysicalSoftwareRev.1 =

entPhysicalSerialNum.1 = xxxx

entPhysicalMfgName.1 = Cisco

entPhysicalModelName.1 = ..................

entPhysicalAlias.1 =

entPhysicalAssetID.1 =

entPhysicalIsFRU.1 = false

Very helpful. I'll look at a workaround.

Hello community,

I have 4 identical Cisco 2651XM console routers (hardware, configuration) that I have upgraded to a more recent IOS version a few days ago.

After the upgrade, half of them stopped showing hardware name for no apparent reason :

I didn’t change routers’ configuration, only upgraded the OS version. I tried re-discovering / polling again, nothing does it.

I’m currently running r8841 stable train. Any ideas ?!?
