Found in the official VMware documentation: Login via SSH to your ESXi 5.1 host and run the following command:
esxcli system snmp set --syslocation=yourLocation --syscontact=email@address

probably yes but I am not sure It is very annoying because is a bit uncomfortable see a point in the middle of a world map
I compile only the file /etc/vmware/snmp.xml - look below:
<config> <snmpSettings> <communities>public</communities> <enable>true</enable> <port>161</port> <targets>IPAddress</targets> </snmpSettings> </config>
I cannot find to setup syslocation I do not know if somebody has had this issue

Are you saying vmware does not allow you to set the syslocation? Or am I not following?

hi guys,
I have a problem with a machine via vmware (esxi 5.1) because I can't be able to modify the locality to setup the correct point into the world map
in the world map the point result completely wrong I have other machines via gnu/linux and it works perfectly in the snmp options I cannot setup the locality
somebody has had an issue like that?
