Hi,
We have been using Netapp FAS since 10 years now. C-Dot has become the new standard mode for about 5 years. In fact, the OS has become more clean and stable from the 9+ versions.
Using observium to monitor our FAS would be great to us :-)
Maybe a solution would be to consider 7-mode and C-Dot as 2 different hardware? That is how Netapp is doing, actually

Hi,
I’m no NetApp guru but I know my storage colleagues have been progressively migrating to a mode called CDOT.
It seems that this particular mode is bringing a lot of functional enhancements and will probably become a standard mode.
This is based from what I gathered here and there. Beyond that, I don’t have a clue about the NetApp world.
Please let us know if/when you’ll decide to move forward with this.
Thank you.

The problem with netapp is that they have two complete mib trees depending which mode the devices are in.
We support one mode, but not the other. Someone game me access to a netapp in the other mode a while ago, but I've not gotten around to looking at it yet! :$

Well, I wanted to open a ticket with them and have our SE push. I never got access to them as I don’t handle storage gear. Too bad :-/
There is a fair chance that NetApp has improved things with Ontap 9.2.
Let us know if you find anything useful.
Best regards.

Last time I asked, Adam replied that NetApp’s SNMP stack coding was complete crape ☺
Are you having a change of heart about integrating NetApp devices more extensively ? That would be amayzing.
Best regards.

Hi, <> can you update to Observium r9024 and then do this from CLI: snmpwalk -v2c -c <community> -m NETAPP-MIB -M /opt/observium/mibs/:/opt/observium/mibs/netapp/ <netapp-device> netappModuleId replace community and netapp-device with your info and save the output, remove any sensitive information and then put it on a pastebin or similar please. /Markus

Can you please integrate to Observium – Netapp. Actually we have basic graphs with volumes, but we miss there fail disk and others environment items. IOPS operations will be of course fine to have in graphs. J In attachment is last mibs file from netapp for version 9.2
