[Observium] Unable to add Alert

I just upgraded from the CE to Subscription. When I go to add a new alert checker, it tells me: Adding alert checker Alert creation failed. Please note that the alert name must be unique.

Nothing is listed in the alert checkers list. I queried the database tables alert_* and they all seem to be empty (as expected). Anywhere else I need to poke/check?
