Hi Joe,

Just for future reference, the fact that your local Postfix installation (which indeed needs a bit of time to rediscover configuration changes for things that are already in its queue) is handling the Observium e-mail means that your configuration in config.php is not correct, as you are likely expecting Observium to use your Exchange server directly.

But no worry, we actually recommend using your localhost Postfix anyway, and things are working, so that's the main thing. But you could likely just remove all that stuff from your Observium configuration without issue...

It just started working. I guess I didn’t wait long enough for something’s internal timer to kick over.

Subject: Changed 'smtp_host' address in config.php isn't being recognized

Hey all, we upgraded our Exchange server and now it has a new address. I changed the old address, xxx.xxx.xxx.102 to the new address, xxx.xxx.xxx.105 in config.php and Observium still sees the old address.

Nov  6 12:00:19 Observe postfix/smtp[27371]: connect to 192.168.2.102[192.168.2.102]:25: No route to host

The new address was also changed in /etc/postfix/main.cf. I’ve rebooted the server a couple of times but no joy. I must be missing something really simple here but I don’t have a clue what it could be. Is there still another location where I need to change my new Exchange server’s address?

Thanks,
