Oh my! Oh yeah! Wow! Thanks! =)

Indeed I see it now. Some draw error on graph and possible size error. But
size is close enough for me. =) Will investigate the draw error.

Hi Henrik,

Can you tell if the data reported in dskTable is correct?

We use dskTable to fill in invalid data in hrStorageTable sometimes, but we
don't outright collect data from dskTable.

I seem to recall this is an issue with ZFS too, and switching to a later
version of net-snmp fixes it.

There are sadly no 5.8 (or even 5.7) packages for EL6 though (not that I
could find!), so you would have to create one. Nothing really depends upon
net-snmp, so no real risk in breaking anything!

Once upon a time I had 5.6 packages for EL6 floating around from an old
requirement, but I seem to have lost them.

Have you checked what SNMP is sending? You can walk the
hrStorageTable and dskTable to see what is returned.
I seem to remember some issue with SNMP not picking up "strange"
filesystems. Making sure you're running the very latest net-snmp
might help.

played with the syscontact just to make sure that the snmpd.conf is
actually read properly upon discovery and poll, and it is. But it
does
not seem to take this string from conf:
disk /ddnnas0 80%
And that is the actual mount point, as seen from ‘mount’ here:
/dev/ddnnas0 on /ddnnas0 type gpfs
(rw,relatime,mtime,nfssync,dev=ddnnas0)
Am i missing something obvious? If so, please be gentle and throw me
with great force, and maybe anger, in the right direction. =)

Dear Everybody,

we have a couple of foundry switches (with only a single power supply) in
use and with the "newest" version, we see an alarm under statuses.

Is it possible to ignore / disable the health check for e.g. the 2nd power
supply?

BR,
Patrick

Hmmm.

I see. This will require some rewriting of functions to handle!

The permissions being outputted need a device_id column on the table to
work, but this doesn't exist on that table. I'll add it. (I noticed it
wasn't on that table when i was looking earlier, but didn't make the
connection)

It'll have to wait until tomorrow though :)

The graph issue was probably just me being a bit eager… =)

I noticed something odd. Is there different math for different graphs when
looking at storage?

When looking at combined Device Storage /ddnnas0 is listed with proper size,
1.82PB. But when I graph just the usage of ddnnas0 it’s listead as 1.68PB.
Just looks like there’s some sort of multiplier that’s a bit bonkers since
the percentage is correct.

Thoughts?

Cheers and thanks again.

HOST-RESOURCES-MIB::hrStorageDescr.3 = STRING: Virtual memory
HOST-RESOURCES-MIB::hrStorageDescr.6 = STRING: Memory buffers

Have you checked what SNMP is sending? You can walk the

I seem to remember some issue with SNMP not picking up "strange"
filesystems. Making sure you're running the very latest net-snmp
might help.

So I got the ‘go ahead’ from DDN to monitor it directly on the

played with the syscontact just to make sure that the snmpd.conf is
actually read properly upon discovery and poll, and it is. But it
does
not seem to take this string from conf:
disk /ddnnas0 80%
And that is the actual mount point, as seen from ‘mount’ here:
/dev/ddnnas0 on /ddnnas0 type gpfs
(rw,relatime,mtime,nfssync,dev=ddnnas0)
Am i missing something obvious? If so, please be gentle and throw me
with great force, and maybe anger, in the right direction. =)

It seems the grouped graph is not using binary :)

I'll have a look!

I seem to remember some issue with SNMP not picking up "strange"
filesystems. Making sure you're running the very latest net-snmp
might help.

does

And that is the actual mount point, as seen from ‘mount’ here:
/dev/ddnnas0 on /ddnnas0 type gpfs

Hi – we are having very similar sounding issues, but no JS errors (or any
useful error output at all to be honest).

Visually, we have a totally empty Alert Status box (not even the totals) -
no summary graphs and no custom graphs (which are all configured within
config.php).

[cid:image001.png@01D47741.395C31F0]

Then there is a large gap (where the items were) and now the Status Warnings
section is showing alerts for devices which were removed a long time ago
(they are disabled but kept for historic graph data).

Did something change in the Dashboard area? Is configuring it via the
config.php no longer a thing? Ours is a very old deployment (like 5+ years)
so maybe we have some historic config lines which are causing an issue?

I’ve upgraded to this morning’s latest (r9570) and applied the DB updates
but no change. Issue was noticed first on 9558 I believe.

Cheers :)

Hi Robert,

We've removed the old front page and replaced it with a dynamic dashboard.

We try to convert whatever layout of old front page you have to the new
structure, but perhaps I've missed our a module or two.

Can you show me the config that you had for the front page?

Perhaps there's some legacy config that needs to be copied over (if we can).

We actually still use the global config variables for some of the widgets,
because in-widget config is not yet ready.

I converted minigraphs and micrographs over, is there another type that I
missed?

Adam.

Hi,

got empty dashboard as well and

$config['web_mouseover'] = 0;

makes javascript fail:

removing web_mouserover setting made the new dash show up.

We had a bunch of minigraphs that are gone, config:

$config['frontpage']['minigraphs']['ids'] =
"43,application_asterisk_activecall,abcd12;" .
"78,application_asterisk_activecall,abcd14;" .
"41,application_asterisk_activecall,abcd22;".
"77,application_asterisk_activecall,abcd24;" .
"252,application_asterisk_activecall,abcd19;" .
"249,application_asterisk_activecall,abcd29;" .
"292,application_asterisk_activecall,cdef01.sd;" .
"293,application_asterisk_activecall,cdef01.sd;" .
"54,application_kamailio_usrloc,qwerty01;" .
"57,application_kamailio_usrloc,qwerty02;" .
"139,application_kamailio_usrloc,qwe01;" .
"181,application_kamailio_usrloc,qwe02;" .
"4014,sensor_graph,JBT Temp (abcd12);" .
"4143,sensor_graph,SHG Temp (abcd22);" .
"4606,sensor_graph,AMS Temp (PS4210);";

$config['frontpage']['order'] = array('status_summary', 'device_status',
'minigraphs', 'alert_table', 'eventlog', 'map', 'syslog');

How to get them back?

Ahhhhh, this is why I couldn't replicate that issue!

Thanks. I'll work out where the problem is!

Less than optimal not being able to see what those 11 alerts are.
Is there any option to manually change the widget sizes?

Perhaps there's some legacy config that needs to be copied over (if we can).
We actually still use the global config variables for some of the widgets,
because in-widget config is not yet ready.
I converted minigraphs and micrographs over, is there another type that I
missed?

Cheers :)

There are drag handles at the bottom corners of the widgets.
