It is possible to create a SQL query that will emit the necessary lines to create a DAG for ingestion directly into e.g. GraphViz, but I can say from experience that the result is unacceptable for most uses, with the
possible exception of trivially-small networks.
The data is there to build maps based on discovery protocols like cdp and lldp, but it really isn’t easy to draw a usable map from it.
You can go to the map.php url in Observium and it should draw a global map of all connected devices. You'll see why it’s not that useful though :)
For other types of maps, you could extract data from mac/ip tables and try to build something by, but I think it would be messy too.
I always drew maps by hand in Visio, even when I was actively trying to make Observium draw decent maps.

Does Observium offer a way to extract Network data to create a MAP?
