This was a planned feature, but it’s not been implemented yet.

I’ve never really been confident we could make per-user dashboards work properly, as users would want to edit them themselves, and I was reluctant to tackle the permissions web that required.

I was just thinking that I could look at quickly adding user field for a “default” dashboard for the user, that could be easily possible. I’ll have a look.
