Hi Mike,
Currently I’am not able to reproduce this issue, since I don’t have a switch in near location to insert and remove a transceiver.
It only happens if you remove a transceiver during runtime and Observium is going to pull known data through the poller.php which is happening every 5 minutes.
The problem is gone after running the next discovery which happens every 6 hours. So just between the time when you remove the transceiver and next discovery we’re facing this problem.

Additional Update: Extreme is responding with an value of „-9999“ if the transceiver is not present anymore.
iso.3.6.1.2.1.99.1.1.1.4.192 = INTEGER: -9999
attach discovery debug:
./discovery.php -d -h <device>
I complete forgot what the os and sensors there :)

Betreff: [Observium] False Positive Alert if sensor_value is "NULL" / "FALSE"
Hey all,
is there any way to check with an alert condition if the return value for i.e. is “NULL” and/or “FALSE”?
I have the case that we removed SFP+ transceivers from Extreme devices and the device is now not replying with any value for this OID check.
The SQL database contains “0.00000” for the affected sensor.
My current alert looks like:
