Believe it or not, the graph DOES show both IN and OUT traffic. Because you have such an imbalance of traffic IN vs traffic OUT, the graph is scaled to show your 6.14 Gbps OUT and your 0.02 Gbps IN. We can’t help the fact that your traffic patterns are the way they are, but the graph you see is truly correct in both directions.

I'm sorry if cropping the info is actually a bad idea. trying to keep information as tight as possible. Normally we would get a matrix that would measure both, IN and OUT traffic.

I wont mention anything about understanding the basics of network monitoring traffic, i would just like to point out tat all i see is the OUT traffic in the graph. I can check the counters in the 6509-E switch, but other staff, who will be looking at this wont have access to the CLI of the 6509.
As for the Total Traffic, yes, it is there, i just would like to know if there is a ch ance the graph could show both, IN and OUT traffic, not just OUT traffic.

Actually, looking at that graph in that screenshot, if you look at the bottom of the graph at the legend, it shows exactly what you’re looking for:
The green is inbound traffic (at an average of 6.14Gbps) and the blue, which you can’t really see because it’s trivial, is outbound traffic (at an average of 20.2Mbps).
The information is right there in front of you. Not sure how it can be any more clear than that.

You appear to be looking at the summary graph on the main overview page for the device. Go into the “ports” page for the device and look at the individual interfaces and see if that shows what you’re really looking for.

Hello Everyone,
I have a -probably- small question i cant find an answer to. I have a Single Observium server that polls the usage for all our network infrastructure. At this point Observium is core to our business.
The issue i have it that observium shows the graphs as a "Total Amount", not on separate channels. Example:
We are pushing outgoing traffic at around 8Gb/s FROM our network out to the internet, but the incoming traffic is very small compared to the outgoing traffic. Observium shows all traffic the same. Please look at http://prntscr.com/ao7w73
So according to this, the same traffic going OUT is the same traffic coming in. So my question is, how can i differentiate this?
