This is what the “delay” option is for. You can delay an alert for x number of poller cycles. In your case you probably want to use a delay of 1, to delay the alert for one poller cycle.

Hello,
we are setting an alert based on device status metric, so if the device status is 0 (down), an alert will be sent to a group of mail destination..
Now we want to adjust the alert sensibility of observium in order to sent the mail if the device is down for 10 mn, in other words, if the device is down then up after 8mn for example, we don't want to be alerted.
