I really wish we had better documentation on the newer dev alerting system. Would help if you guys wanted info on what was or wasn’t working correctly.

This is the old, deprecated alerting system.

HI,

Now the alerts are working, should emails be sent ?

Here is my config

// Enable alerter
$config['poller-wrapper']['alerter']       = TRUE;

// Set up a default alerter (email to a single address)
$config['alerts']['alerter']['default']['descr']   = "Default Email Alert";
$config['alerts']['alerter']['default']['type']    = "email";
$config['alerts']['alerter']['default']['contact'] = "daniel.rolfe.au@gmail.com";
$config['alerts']['alerter']['default']['enable']  = TRUE;

I've only tested sending emails from the cli with the mail command, which are being received by gmail

I really want to move away from cacti thold plugin :-)

Thanks for your help
