Thanks! I wasn’t aware that I could use weathermaps with observium. I will check it out.

But still it would like the graphs itself to be color coded. J

There's a plugin for Cacti called Weathermap, which someone adopted to work with Observium, which can get you some pretty colors. Check here for details: http://blog.best-practice.se/2014/07/using-php-weathermap-with-observium.html

I use it myself, it's pretty handy.

I know and have already done that. It works very well for me to recognize unusual loads.

But the colored graphs are also pretty nice to just get a heads up if I should consider an upgrade of some interfaces.

Tbh I just like the way these graphs look and it is also understandable for everyone :)

You could setup alerting for those interfaces :)

Subject: [Observium] Graphs with Color Coded Percent Utilization

Hello,

I am currently trying to completely replace our cacti installation with Observium.

One of the last things that make me hold on to cacti are these kind of graphs:

The graphs are described here: http://forums.cacti.net/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=8520

We have put the most important interfaces on our NOC screen and can immediately recognize if some interfaces are under unusual high load.

Is there a way I can achieve something similar with Observium?

Thanks,

Regards Siegfried
