Nothing on that page is correct. It's not written about Observium's official Slack support, but about an old third party patch.
To use the offical slack support you need to create a contact with the endpoint in the format :
channel::<channel>||username::<username>||url::<webhook_url>
And then associate it with alerts you'd like to be sent to slack.

on the directory alerts exists the slack.inc.php.
directory in the alerts there is slack.inc.php.
researched on the Internet (http://www.rickheil.com/?p=35#comment-39 [http://www.rickheil.com/?p=35#comment-39]) and also in the full dump of the observium config file and saw that there are integration options with the slack.
I tried to apply them but without success. someone already managed to do this integration? Below are the configs:
$config['alerts']['slack']['username'] = "Observium"; $config['alerts']['slack']['channel'] = "#cgr"; $config['alerts']['slack']['url'] = "https://hooks.slack.com/services/T0BMNB4UC/B0BMU32QY/xeUSiseEo2qGlXKOACLR5Zh...
