Ulrik,
I was thinking of this while implementing it. You got it backwards. It's least significant -> most significant ;-)
But I'm sure there are others who have it backwards - was planning of thinking up a way for this later, I think I just did in my head. Possibly Coming Soon(tm).

Hi,
And as of r7698 this is now possible :-) Great!
If we also could get an option to nest the locations in REVERSE order I would be in "location Menu"-nirvana

It is indeed not possible today, it's either fully flat your-defined-locations, or the geo coded subtree.
I, too, would like this feature ;-)

Hi,
I asked the same question some weeks ago on this list and from the answers I got my understanding is that it's not possible today.
We too would greatly benefit of such a feature.

Hi all,
is it possible to make the location menu nested without using geocodes? Approximateley like the geocodes are managed...
For example: Switch A: snmp location "Building 1, Floor 2, Room 23" Switch B: snmp location "Building 1, Floor 2, Room 23" Switch C: snmp location "Building 1, Floor 1, Room 42"
Locations
Building 1 -> Floor 1 -> Room 42 (2 devices) -> Floor 2 -> Room 23 (1 device) Building X ...
Maybe this is already possible but i am not able to configure it right :-) Otherwise this would be a nice feature when many devices are placed in the same building but in different floors/rooms.
cheers, Helge
