I've actually never investigated the subject of CSS for printing. A quick google suggests it's common for bootstrap-derived things to be fugly when printed.
It'd probably take someone familiar with CSS + print to look at why it's behaving how it is. I tried disabling some of the print media sections yesterday to test, but it didn't seem to make any difference.
Our CSS hasn't really been normal bootstrap for a long time, we're currently sort of a Frankenstein hybrid of bootstrap 2+3 with a lot of other changes.
I think we'd perhaps need more structural changes to make it print how it looks on the screen, too, since our layout is all designed with specific screen widths in mind.
Adam.

Er, yes, technically that's true, but doesn't solve anything because that's not my problem. I'm able to create PDFs quite easily - they're just not usable. The output in CSS "print" mode is unusable and unreadable even with the on-screen data in front of me.
The problem is particularly bad when viewing Port details, which is usually what I want to send off.
What I see on screen: https://merlin365-my.sharepoint.com/:i:/g/personal/athompson_merlin_mb_ca/E aJjcCSMCz5IhsZNxpQkfYcB1hkHhgbO2u7tbHMA8wETeA?e=DPdwnW https://merlin365-my.sharepoint.com/:i:/g/personal/athompson_merlin_mb_ca/Ea JjcCSMCz5IhsZNxpQkfYcB1hkHhgbO2u7tbHMA8wETeA?e=DPdwnW
What I get as a PDF: https://merlin365-my.sharepoint.com/:b:/g/personal/athompson_merlin_mb_ca/E WmpbOpFZZtJvDPSeIZagwIBsaCDoMT_HRnA3VGwvd4Ang?e=crw7cR https://merlin365-my.sharepoint.com/:b:/g/personal/athompson_merlin_mb_ca/EW mpbOpFZZtJvDPSeIZagwIBsaCDoMT_HRnA3VGwvd4Ang?e=crw7cR
As you can see, these are not... quite... the same.
I have run into this before, and it's usually a CSS problem. If I'm using a specific browser (Chrome, i think) I can override and tell the CSS engine that I'm still looking at a screen, even when I'm printing, and then I get high-fidelity output that matches the on-screen view. Ah, found it: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/9540990/using-chromes-element-inspector -in-print-preview-mode/21156904#21156904 https://stackoverflow.com/questions/9540990/using-chromes-element-inspector- in-print-preview-mode/21156904#21156904
...but that is a giant PITA. Is Observium's CSS really that bad for "print" media type, or have we done something wrong in our installation?

You can print to a PDF. It's built into Mac and Windows you can add a pdf "printer" (e.g. CutePDF)

In talking to my external partners, I often need to document the current state of a port. Observium's Ports screen is perfect for the task. except that there's no way to save it, print it, turn it into a PDF, etc.
I don't want to grant the receiving person the ability to log into my Observium instance, I just want to send them the data neatly arrayed.
Does anyone have a way to accomplish this with Observium? Right now I'm taking screenshots, cropping them, pasting them together, etc. which is a PITA.
Advice appreciated,
