Hi,

It adds additional sensor metrics (temperature, fan, DIMM modules, …) of the host.

We tend to disable this since IPMI can be very slow, it slowed down our polling by a factor 10 almost.

I have several DELL server with IDRAC and IPMI and only monitored my server with SNMP.
