[Observium] rrdcached working?

Hi,

I discovered Observium a few days ago and I really like what I see so far. However, I'm running into some issues trying to scale up to the size of my network. The first issue that I thought I'd bring up is rrdcached support... is it actually working? I've got an rrdcached instance running but as far as I can tell Observium isn't making any real use of it. I switched to a TCP/IP socket for rrdcached and I can see a TCP/IP socket being opened but no data or commands are ever sent across the socket... Can anyone clue me in as to what I may be doing wrong? I'm running rev 3149 on a Fedora 16 system.
