as I remember in HWg-STE not simple to detect thresholds (or it complete not exist in snmp data)..
show debug output, I will see if something possible to fix:
./discovery.php -d -m sensors -h <hwg-ste>

We've got some of the HWg-STE sensors. They work fine for us apart from the snmp stack returns different values for thresholds, compared to what is configured in the web mgmt interface of the sensor.
It means we need to set custom thresholds within Observium. Not the end of the world, but when you have 100+ of them, that significantly increases the manpower to monitor them.
It is possible it's a firmware problem on the sensor. Our team doesn't "own" them, we just do the monitoring for our facilities people. I'll have to chase that up.

I tend to use bigger, centrally located devices (AKCP securityProbe) to connect a couple of sensors to it. But I think the AKCP sensorProbe devices should be very well supported. Or the HWg-STE could also be an alternative, these are also include in the os.inc.php file.

Guys,
Can anyone recommend a small IP based temperature/humidity sensor unit to monitor remote racks? I've checked http://www.observium.org/docs/supported_devices/ but would like firsthand experience recommendations please. Regards,
Cameron
