Luis,
Have you tried to run irqbalance?

Hi Xavier,
Deadline or CFQ scheduler doesn't change anything (It is currently set to deadline).
cat /sys/block/sd*/queue/scheduler noop anticipatory [deadline] cfq noop anticipatory [deadline] cfq noop anticipatory [deadline] cfq noop anticipatory [deadline] cfq noop anticipatory [deadline] cfq noop anticipatory [deadline] cfq
I was also suspecting hyperthreading ... but disabling it doesn't change much. I just did the test with hyperthreading off on the X5660 :
With 12 threads the poller takes around 60 seconds, 47 seconds with 24 threads and 44 seconds with 36 threads and 44 seconds with 64 threads, 44 seconds with 96 threads.
Meaning that there is not much performance hit in disabling the hyperthreading for the polling but it doesn't solve the issue with the slowness in the web interface.
Best regards, Louis

Hi Louis,
And if you switched off hyperthreading of the X5660 ? And add on both : elevator=deadline
