This is for syslog alerts. I can just add a user-defined severity to the rule and colour the table accordingly!

The syslog-supplied severity is slightly less useful in this instamce, I think.

your device should send "down" messages with Error (3) severity (priority).

Adam,

Our naming scheme is based on short names for cities follow bij a number

Amsterdam is ASD

Waddinxveen is WVN

Groenekan is GRKN

So the router names are PE1.ASD0033, PE1.WVN0002, PE1.GRKN0002 and so on.

The routers with a short city name of 3 letters are showing correctly.
With more aren’t.

It would be awesome to display down messages in red and up messages in
green.

We auto-shorten long hostnames on dots to make them fit into fields,
otherwise you'd get all manner of horrible things. What is your naming
scheme? It seems odd. Is the second part identifying the host itself?

What would you expect to be green? :)

Hi,

I noticed that some (longer) device names aren’t showing complete
in the eventlog and syslog alerts.

Can i fix this some how?

Also, is there a possibility to add colors (red, green) to the
syslog alerts?

Some screen shots.
