Hello again!

I have an alert-check setup for device_status equals 0"; however, I would like to distinguish with SNMP_down equal 0 then ICMP_equals 0.  I want something like this, because I have a host that the SNMP services stop, but the device is still up and operational, so I want to mitigate this "false-positive".

Furthermore, when I enable "ICMP echo check..." within the device properties, the pings don't work, and the device is deemed as down.  I want the ICMP functionality.

Thanks for the info!

Also it only checks things for ICMP if they respond to PING, so both being returned as negative doesn't really happen.

Hi,
if a device is unreachable via SNMP and ICMP Observium will class it as down and you would be able to have have an host down-alert to check for that:

Hello!

I would like to setup an alert-checker that would send a notification only if a device is not reachable via both SNMP and ICMP.  Is there documentation that explains specifically how to do this?

Thanks!
