I know these questions have probably been asked a lot, but after searching the answers weren’t really clear.

 

Can you please help me build a case to pay for the software? ☺

 

- Observium seems to support graphing application metrics, but I don't see any entity types for applications to key on in alert checkers. Is there any way to make the metrics available to the alert checkers? (Found a post about this but it was 4 years ago)

- Can I use smokeping port checks to cover service checks (i.e. simple TCP connection tests) or can I key (alert) on the smokeping metrics?

- If we purchase the full version, which includes custom SNMP OID's, can I also alert on the custom OID data? I have scripts that currently do this with our other monitoring software.

- If we purchase enterprise support, will we be able to see a better road map or any other improvements coming down the pipe?

 

Overall, this product will replace all our infra monitoring for devices that it supports, if we can add a little additional functionality, we can probably get rid of more tools here! ☺
