Yet another battle to fight :
«Engineering has advised that this issue is seen from NOS 5.x. It has also been confirmed that the IF-MIB support for flexport was not implemented earlier NOS releases and there
is no plan to add this for future releases.
A RFE will be required if you still want this feature and this needs to be submitted by your local SE. »
Best regards.

Dear Community,
Here is an initial feedback from the case I have opened :
“Engineering is still investigating this issue. At the moment, they have advised that when a FlexPort is configured as a FC port, in code we are not getting the details of the port
from backend.”
I’ll let you know how this evolves over time.
Best regards.

Dear Adam,
I guess my next move is to open a new ticket with BTAC.
Thank you for the feedback.
Best regards.

Hi,
This is because the device isn't populating IF-MIB with the correct information.
Not really unexpected for fiberchannel ports!

Objet : VDX6740 and flexport support
Dear Community,
VDX offer Flexport capability which allows to use ports as either ethernet or fiber channel ports.
After upgrading VDX6740 to NOS720 and initial discovery, Observium was able to detect and show transceiver information for those particular ports correctly :
But after a few polling cycles, displayed information changed to this :
Moreover, under the ports sections, I don’t have access to statistics as ports are greyed :
Although ports are seeing as FC ports, speed is wrong (should be 16G) and MTU isn’t showing.
Can someone shed some light on this please ?
Thank you for your help.
Best regards.
