Output from Debian 7.1:
root@t3-observium:/opt/observium# ./scripts/os Linux|3.2.0-4-amd64|amd64|Debian GNU/Linux|7
Should it maybe have the ".1" at the end?

Hello,
The bash works under Cent OS 5.9 x86 :
[root@xxx observium]# ./scripts/distro CentOS 5.9
And under Debian Wheezy x86 :
_root@xxx:/opt/observium# ./scripts/distro_ _Debian 7.1_

Hi All,
We're testing a new version of the old 'distro' script used to detect distribution.
Please run :
./scripts/os
From inside your observium directory on updated installation (you may need to chmod 755 it first).
I get:
root@alpha:/home/observium/dev# scripts/os Linux|3.8.0-19-generic|amd64|Ubuntu|13.04 root@alpha:/home/observium/dev#
The final part is the distro release. Please reply to this post if your distro release is returned as empty.
The script might not return a distribution value for non-Linux OSes, this is normal. We're trying to make sure it can always ascertain the distro version and type.
