BTW, it's often just better to use the installer script. It'll create a user and it ends up being a bit more secure (from, err, us, i guess).

In addition to updating the install documentation, what is the timeline for replacing mcrypt in Observium? What are the correct steps for installing Observium on Ubuntu 18.04?
